Uplifting our people and with a focus on educating the next generation of Maori & Pacific Youth through music, Island Base is a platform consisting of an International online station, Events & Production company and Recording studio.
Nationally and internationally recognised, the Island Base mission is to connect the people of the South Pacific by providing a fun and safe environment for rangatahi of all ages for self-expression and to find their own voice.

Next Wave Programme
Next Wave sessions cover beat-making, DAWs, live performance and mic techniques, songwriting, recording and production and students will come away with original songs and new skills. Facilitated by rap and R&B icons Diggy Dupé, Sam V and MELODOWNZ with guest producer Hales, this programme will foster the creativity of passionate up-and-coming musicians and get them networking with the finest Aotearoa has to offer.
TAKE IT TO THE STREETS 2025
Now in its 4th year, Take It To The Streets is gearing up for an electrifying showcase with a diverse lineup of talented individuals. This year’s events will be featuring some of the finest established and emerging local artists, from here at Island Base.

Through the years, Island Base Trust has journeyed with young people from Papakura Intermediate to explore creativity and meaningful connections through modern day technology.
